On the afternoon of September 30, the International Master of Public Administration (IMPA) series programs from the School of Public Policy and Management at Tsinghua University (Tsinghua SPPM) visited the College of International Development and Global Agriculture (CIDGA) at China Agricultural University to conduct an academic exchange activity. More than 30 international students from the three IMPA programs (IMPA-MOFCOM, IMPA-BRI and IMPA-Future Leaders), as well as more than 10 international students from other Chinese and English programs of Tsinghua SPPM, participated in the event. The activity was organized and implemented by the Academic Director of the IMPA programs and Associate Professor Zheng Zhenqing, as well as the International Program Manager of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange of Tsinghua SPPM. The Executive Dean of CIDGA, Professor Wu Jin, Vice Dean, Professor Tang Lixia, and the coordinator of the international student program, Associate Professor Wang Yanlei joined the event. The event was presided by Professor Wu Jin.

Professor Wu Jin first extended a warm welcome to the Tsinghua SPPM IMPA faculty and students on behalf of CIDGA and introduced the college's research in international development and global agriculture, as well as the progress in promoting international development education.
Professor Tang Lixia delivered a keynote speech, focusing on the distinctive projects and teaching and research achievements of CIDGA in the fields of development practice and rural poverty alleviation, as well as the team's poverty alleviation experiment cases in Yunnan and the cultivation of international students.
Associate Professor Zheng Zhenqing also delivered a keynote speech, introducing the development of the IMPA program series at Tsinghua SPPM, the design and implementation of the comparative governance and development practice curriculum, and the unique features of the IMPA programs in combining public administration, public policy, and comparative international development.
Subsequently, students from both universities engaged in a lively and in-depth exchange. Abdoul Razak Toure and Khamis Abdulla Ali, student representatives from CIDGA, shared their thesis topics and research findings on African merchants' trade activities in Yiwu, as well as their experiences in academic studies and research at China Agricultural University. Tabitha Trency Chakanza (IMPA-MOFCOM program, from Malawi), Yuong Chee Chung (IMPA-BRI program, from Malaysia), and Mostofa Habibil (IMPA-FL program, from Indonesia) introduced their respective programs, student backgrounds, and their personal work-related experiences. Following that, students from both universities engaged in the Q&A session on issues and aspects of mutual concern, deepening the theme of the exchange activity.
The exchange activity concluded in a friendly atmosphere. This event strengthened the friendship between the faculty and students of the two universities, and both universities look forward to further communications in academic field and cultural exchange in the future.
